Does God Care?

Some people worry about us if we don’t panic.

Sure, we may be tempted too, but if we truly believe that God is reliable. Then, everything is going to be okay.

One day Jesus and His followers were in the middle of a lake in a life threatening storm. The boat was about to be sucked down below the waves of water.

In panic, the followers came to Jesus and cried out,
“Don't you care that we are drowning (Mark 4:38 NCV)!”

Jesus had been in a deep sleep, and in a moment of time, he saw the hopelessness in the faces of His followers.

“Jesus stood up and commanded the wind and said to the waves,
"Quiet! Be still!"

Then the wind stopped, and it became completely calm.

 Jesus said to his followers,
"Why are you afraid? Do you still have no faith?"

The followers were very afraid and asked each other,

"Who is this? Even the wind and the waves obey him (Mark 4:39-41)!"

The followers were in panic because their minds were already drowned by their problem, which was a life threatening storm.

Out of His deep sleep, Jesus picked Himself up.

Looked into the eye of the storm and said
“quiet down”.

Now, anyone can tell a storm to “quiet down”, but who can say it, and the storm whimpers in silence?

If you are about to be sucked under the weight of your problems and you are gasping for air, don’t cry out of Jesus and say “Don’t you care?”

Remember who you have on board, and don't call out to Him as a last resort, but a first one.

Invite Jesus into your situation, and tell Him that you know He's up to the challenge.

Hang on to Him, and He'll keep you afloat.

In faith, hang on and prepare to be amazed.
