Silence in my Soul

The Speech of Elihu 32  So the three men stopped answering Job, because he thought he was right.  Lord, give me wisdom to reach the unreachable.  Make me teachable. 2  But Elihu the Buzite was very angry with Job. That’s  because  Job said he himself was right instead of God.   Lord, reveal my arrogance and remove it  from me.  Elihu was the son of Barakel. He was from the family of Ram.  Lord, help me control my anger unless it's for the right reasons. May I never think myself wiser than you.  You are right and I am not.  No matter what my situation tells me.        3  Elihu was also very angry with Job’s three friends.  They hadn’t found any way to prove that Job was wrong. But they still said he was guilty.   4  Elihu had waited before he spoke to Job.  That’s because the others were older than he was.   5  But he saw that the three men didn’t have anything more to say. Sickness or Health?

Job 2 New International Reader's Version (NIRV) 2:1  On another day angels came to the Lord. Satan also came to him along with them.  Father, the enemy mixes in with your true followers.  Please let me discern between the two .   2  The Lord said to Satan, “Where have you come from?” Lord, hold me tightly with your great hand.  Your questions for me are for my benefit not yours. Lord, you know the ending of the matter at the beginning.   Lord, please let me know the ending of my actions at the beginning like you and act accordingly. Satan answered, “From traveling all around the earth. I’ve been going from one end of it to the other.” Lord, I know that you ar

Job 1 New International Reader's Version (NIRV) 1  There was a man who lived in the land of Uz. His name was Job. He was honest. He did what was right. He had respect for God and avoided evil.   Lord, make me honest and right as your servant Job.  I love and respect you Lord.  I hold to you.  I will not depart, Lord, I beg you.  Keep me from evil, too! 2  Job had seven sons and three daughters.  3  He owned 7,000 sheep and 3,000 camels. He owned 500 pairs of oxen and 500 donkeys. He also had a large number of servants. He was the most important man among all the people in the east. Lord, I beg you in Jesus name.  Bless me indeed with your wisdom, your understanding, and your intellect.  Make whatever I place my hand upon to prosper too.
