Poverty or Prosperity?
Open the eyes of my heart
Lord. I want see you. I want to know you.
Lord, what is your purpose for
my Life? I give it to you Lord. Whatever, you say I'll do. I
beg you in Jesus name what is your specific will for me?
Job 1 New International Reader's Version (NIRV)
1 There was a man who lived in the land of Uz. His name was
Job. He was honest. He did what was right. He had respect for God and avoided
evil.
Lord, make me honest and right as your servant
Job. I love and respect you Lord. I hold to you. I will not
depart, Lord, I beg you. Keep me from evil, too!
2 Job had seven sons and three daughters. 3 He
owned 7,000 sheep and 3,000 camels. He owned 500 pairs of oxen and 500 donkeys.
He also had a large number of servants. He was the most important man among all
the people in the east.
Lord, I beg you in Jesus
name. Bless me indeed with your wisdom, your understanding, and your
intellect. Make whatever I place my hand upon to prosper too.
Enlarge my territory. Bless my possessions, so I can be a blessing to
others. Expand my Godly influence. May your hand be with me.
Keep me from harm, so I won't experience pain. (I Chronicles
4:10)
4 His sons used to give feasts in their homes on their
birthdays. They would invite their three sisters to eat and drink with them.
Father, you know how it is to have
children. I beg you in Jesus name to fill my son with your precious Holy
Spirit. Please keep ungodly people and influences far from him all of his
life. May he not depart from you all of his days.
I beg you in Jesus name to fill all my family
with you precious Holy Spirit. I bind the spirit of unforgiveness in my
family. May my family be filled with your spirit and seek after you
all their days. In Jesus name, bind the spirit that blinds their eyes.
Bring Godly people cross their paths in Jesus name.
5 The time for enjoying good food would end. Then Job would
make plans for his children to be made pure and “clean.” He would sacrifice a
burnt offering for each of them. He would do it early in the morning. He would
think, “Perhaps my children have sinned. Maybe they have spoken evil things
against God in their hearts.” That’s what Job always did for his children when
he felt they had sinned.
Father, I beg you to search our hearts to see if
there is any hurtful way in us, and lead us on your path everlasting.
Search our hearts for any hint of pride and unforgiveness.
In Jesus name, we give ourselves to you as living
sacrifices. You have made us Holy through Jesus's death for us on the cross,
and through His resurrection.
This is our reasonable act of worship. We
refuse to be conformed to this world, but we are being transformed as you renew
our minds so that we may be able to discern your good and perfect and
acceptable will for our lives (Romans 12:1-2).
6 One day angels came to the Lord. Satan also came with
them. 7 The Lord said to Satan, “Where have you come
from?”
Satan answered, “From traveling all around the
earth. I’ve been going from one end of it to the other.”
8 Then the Lord said to Satan, “Have you thought
about my servant Job? There isn’t anyone on earth like him. He is honest. He
does what is right. He has respect for God and avoids evil.”
Lord, may we bring glory to your name in your
heavenly kingdom before all your heavenly host as we represent your interest
upon the earth? May we stand firm against all the assaults of our enemy,
Satan, in Jesus name and for Your great reputation. I beg you in
Jesus name that the way that we live on earth will bring glory to you in your
heavenly kingdom.
9 “You always give Job everything he needs,” Satan replied.
“That’s why he has respect for you. 10 Haven’t you guarded him
and his family? Haven’t you taken care of everything he has? You have blessed
everything he does. His flocks and herds are spread all through the land.
God, I ask you in Jesus name that you would guard
us and watch over every aspect of our families. May we be loyal to you and to
remain true to you through whatever that we encounter in demonic
assaults. We ask that you bless all that we do and all we have in Jesus
name.
11 But now reach out your hand and strike down everything he
has. Then I’m sure he will speak evil things against you. In fact, he’ll do it
right in front of you.”
12 The Lord said to Satan, “All right. I am handing
everything he has over to you. But do not touch the man himself.”
Lord, we pray that all that we encounter today
and every day that we would never speak evil against you.
May we be mindful that we stand forever more in
your presence and in the presence of your heavenly host. No matter what
we encounter. I pray in Jesus name. That you will sustain us in and
through demonic attacks, and bring glory to you in doing it.
Then Satan left the Lord and went on his
way.
13 One day Job’s sons and daughters were at their oldest
brother’s house. They were enjoying good food and drinking wine. 14 During
that time a messenger came to Job. He said, “The oxen were plowing. The donkeys
were eating grass near them. 15 Then the Sabeans attacked us
and carried off the animals. They killed some of the servants with their
swords. I’m the only one who has escaped to tell you!”
16 While he was still speaking, a second messenger came. He
said, “God sent lightning from the sky. It struck the sheep and killed them. It
burned up some of the servants. I’m the only one who has escaped to tell you!”
17 While he was still speaking, a third messenger came. He said,
“The Chaldeans separated themselves into three groups. They attacked your
camels and carried them off. They killed the rest of the servants with their
swords. I’m the only one who has escaped to tell you!”
18 While he was still speaking, a fourth messenger came. He
said, “Your sons and daughters were at their oldest brother’s house. They were
enjoying good food and drinking wine.
19 Suddenly a strong wind blew in from the desert. It struck the
four corners of the house. The house fell down on your children. Now all of
them are dead. I’m the only one who has escaped to tell you!”
Lord, in natural disasters and man made ones may
we remain true. Lord, there is one thing that the devil can't take from
me is your presence. If we lose all of our possessions and families may
we remain true and loyal to you. I beg you in Jesus name that what we do and
what we say will bring pleasure to the greatness of your name. Please hold on
to me as I hold on to you in Jesus's name.
20 After Job heard all these reports, he got up and tore his
robe. He shaved his head. Then he fell to the ground and worshiped the Lord. 21 He
said,
“I was born naked.
And I’ll leave here naked.
The Lord has given, and the Lord has taken away.
May the name of the Lord be praised.”
And I’ll leave here naked.
The Lord has given, and the Lord has taken away.
May the name of the Lord be praised.”
22 In spite of everything, Job didn’t sin by blaming
God for doing anything wrong.
Lord, may your name be
praised. Is it you're will for me to lose everything? Is it you're
will for me to prosper in everything? Whatever my season in life.
In prosperity or poverty may your Great name be praised.
Lord, I give you my life.
I beg you in Jesus's name that you make clear to me my specific purpose.
I present this prayer to you in Jesus's name.
